On June 26th International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, anti-drug publicity and education activities were held at the anti-drug work base in Hongshan District, Wuhan. In the anti-drug experience zone, Sun Shihao, a Wuhan University anti-drug volunteer with VR (virtual reality) glasses, feels like being in a real drug scene.
"The experience is very realistic. When I saw drug addicts 'enjoy', I was curious and nervous. When I saw them gradually ulcerating, I began to feel sick and disgusted." After Sun shared experience and comprehension, other volunteers also Try to experience it.
"Drug addiction is difficult to abstain from because of peoples' addictions in heart." Xin Xianzhu, deputy general manager of the technology developer and the heart technology company, introduced VR virtual reality detoxification correction method through eye tracking technology, physiological parameter detection, quantitatively assess the level of drug addiction among drug addicts before implementing corrective treatment. This technology can make people feel like inhaling drugs and maximise the "heart addiction" hidden by drug users.
VR detoxification is actually a kind of intervention in the psychological sense. It aims to recreate the scenes of drug use through VR video, reconstruct the memory of drug addicts on drug abuse behaviors, and then establish adversarial conditioning through memory extraction and aversive treatment.
The setting of the scene is divided into three parts: the first is "inducing drug addiction". Through immersive experience of the environment and dialogue of drug taking, etc., the drug users are reminded of the drug's memory and induce their desire for drugs; The second is "aversion to treatment", to show the serious consequences of taking drugs, such as complications, side effects to create a sense of disgust for drug addicts; The last is to "return to the family", to show the beautiful scenes of daily life and family life, and to initiate the treatment of drug addicts.
“The advent of VR drug addiction assessment and correction system allowed drug addicts to embark on a quick treatment channel and saw new hope for success in drug treatment.” Zhang Xianzhuang introduced that the product has been tested in more than 300 people in the compulsory isolation of drug addiction facility in Lushan, Hunan Province. Yes, it is still in a perfect stage and will be launched in August this year. The finished product has a variety of scenes to choose from, not only for detoxification but also for treating insomnia. Highly configured equipment costs 600,000 to 700,000 yuan.
It is reported that after the use of "virtual reality (VR) drug addiction assessment and correction system" in the province's detoxification system in Zhejiang Province in 2017, Beijing, Shanghai and other places also gradually launched the VR detoxification system this year. Wuhan's first anti-drug VR experience center settled in the Hanyang anti-drug community and is currently in use.
