Pimax 8K VR headset will support Vaqso analog odor module


We know that in addition to the high resolution, the Pimax 8K VR headset also support for a series of other functional modules, such as the smell module, humidity module, eye tracking module, gesture module, wireless module, fan module, myopia frame modules and so on.

In last year's November, the Pimax completed a $4.2 million crowdfunding. Recently, they announced cooperation with Japan's Vaqso to provide odor modules for the Pimax 8K VR headset.


As demonstrated last year, the Vaqso odor module will be placed underneath the head and the air outlet close to your nose. There are several different individual module boxes inside the odor module, which blow out different odors through fans. It is understood that its battery life is about 2 hours and can be charged through the Micro USB interface.


The current generation of Vaqso contains a total of five odor modules: Fish, Ramen, Lady, Burnt, and Grassland. These modules can also be replaced according to different game requirements. The flavor of each module can be used for about 1 month ( Take 2 hours per day as an example).

It is worth noting that the concept of Vaqso is similar to the air fresheners popular in the past 10 years, and it is not yet certain what the specific prices of these Vaqso and odor fragrance modules are. However, Vaqso said that college students can afford it.

On the software side, the small faction has integrated Vaqso VR into the developer suite, and Vaqso has officially released some of its fragrance development resources. It is expected that the small 8K VR headphone and this Vaqso odor module will be released this year.
